I Am a Wanderer in My Heart is a collective exhibition curated by Théo-Mario Coppola, gathering works and projects by Yasmina Benabderrahmane, Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz, Barbara Hammer, Hudinilson Jr., Bhupen Khakhar, Lalitha Lajmi, Jimmy Robert and Kirill Savchenkov.

The exhibition's title is taken from a line in a poem by Rabindranath Tagore. The poem captures existential and conflicting desires, as well as the challenges faced by those caught up in their turmoil.

The exhibition will bring together practices and works from various geocultural backgrounds, each providing a distinctive take on thwarted desire, inner conflict, and the erotic impulse.

Théo-Mario Coppola’s aim is to examine, from a transhistorical and transgeographical perspective, the stories of those whose lives have been shaped by adversity, and to highlight how each practice and form of desire is rooted in particular circumstances. The curatorial approach also seeks to identify commonalities, points of tension and patterns of differentiation based on people’s life experiences.

The eighteenth edition of the curated by festival will run from to 15 September to 17 October 2026, with an opening weekend from 11 to 13 September 2026.
